YWCA Greater Los Angeles and U.S. Department of Labor Will Conduct a Passing the Key Ceremony at the New YWCA Los Angeles Job Corps Urban Campus Building Today, Thursday, January 19th at 9:30am

WHAT
A Passing the Key Ceremony between the YWCA Los Angeles Job Corps and the U.S. Department of Labor for the twenty-year lease of the Urban Campus building. The YWCA GLA is the owner/operator of the new building currently referred to as "YWCA Los Angeles Job Corps Urban Campus."

The ceremony will mark the beginning of a long awaited agreement between the U.S. Department of Labor and the YWCA GLA which satisfies the terms of the YWCA Los Angeles Job Corps contract. The passing of the keys represents a significant milestone in the Urban Campus building's progression. Between now and spring 2012, the YWCA GLA and its partners will manage the transition and placement of four hundred Job Corps students to their new home.

Upon conclusion of this ceremony, the 20-year lease will commence between the YWCA GLA and U.S. Department of Labor for the Urban Campus building.
