Dannemora notifies the start of its mining operations

 Dannemora Mineral AB notified the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden that it started
mining operations from 13 January 2012. This notification has to be made before
operations can start in accordance with Section 57 of the Swedish Minerals
Ordinance

This notification relates to the initial underground work that will be carried
out in the Dannemora iron ore mine, which forms part of the preparations for the
future production of iron ore.

The previous plan to start operations at the new sorting plant in the second
quarter of 2012 remains in place.
