SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 24, 2012) - MuleSoft, provider of the #1 integration platform for the cloud and enterprise, today announced that Noodles & Company, a national chain of fast casual restaurants, has implemented MuleSoft iON integration-as-a-platform-service (iPaaS) in conjunction with PeopleMatter, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) talent management offering, to integrate and streamline its hiring and on-boarding processes. Noodles & Company will leverage iApp4Hire, an integration application (iApp) offered by MuleSoft and PeopleMatter through a strategic partnership, to integrate PeopleMatter with other cloud-based HR and payroll systems.

Noodles & Company employs over 5,800 individuals, operates 275 restaurants in 22 states and is currently expanding across the United States. The company realized that it needed to upgrade its talent management processes, which depended heavily on disparate legacy systems and manual batch file uploads. Noodles & Company selected PeopleMatter in part because of its strong integration offering built on MuleSoft iON, which enables easy integration with critical HR systems, both cloud-based and on-premise, such as ADP, Ceridian, Workday, Paychex, and UltiPro.

"We like the fact that the integration is being provided by experts, rather than needing to reinvent the wheel ourselves," said Alison Meadows, HR director for Noodles & Company. "With PeopleMatter and MuleSoft iON, we are getting both the application and the integration delivered together as a seamless cloud service, letting us realize those benefits end-to-end."

With iON and PeopleMatter, Noodles & Company will be able to improve and optimize its hiring processes without increasing IT staff or incurring additional costs. iON's packaged integration now automatically updates and synchronizes employee data across multiple systems at the time of a new hire, instead of once nightly. This timing is critical in the fast casual dining industry as hiring and live training can happen on the same day. In addition, the automated system eliminates manual errors and exceptions caused by manual batch integration, which formerly affected up to 50% of all records.

"Noodles & Company's story exemplifies the power of combining Human Resources Management best practices and the iON platform," said Chris Purpura, vice president and general manager of MuleSoft iON. "By using the pre-packaged iApp, Noodles has automated a relatively complex business process spanning multiple SaaS and legacy systems, all without needing to deploy any software or hire a team of developers."
