Government of Canada Lends Financial Support to Air 2000

SAINT-LÉONARD-D'ASTON, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 24, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Air 2000 has been granted financial assistance to reorganize its operations and set up a research and development centre.

"This is one more example of the Government of Canada's political determination to support enterprises that, like Air 2000, are investing in their productivity and are thereby helping create jobs," said Minister Lebel.

Air 2000 designs and manufactures ventilation equipment for the residential and commercial sectors. The company, a subsidiary of the French Aldès group since 2010, operates the corporation's only development and manufacturing centre in North America. Air 2000's project involves acquiring production equipment, installing manufacturing management software, outfitting its laboratory and hiring specialized engineers.
