EnWave Chairman Wins Award of Excellence for Innovation

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 26, 2012) - EnWave Corporation (TSX VENTURE:ENW)(FRANKFURT:E4U) ("EnWave" or "the Company") today announced that the Investment Agriculture Foundation of B.C. ("IAF") has awarded Dr. Timothy Durance, Chairman and Co-CEO of EnWave, with the 2012 Award of Excellence for Innovation in Agriculture and Agri-Food.

"The Award of Excellence for Innovation is about celebrating the innovative thinkers who help drive B.C.'s agriculture and agri-food industry forward, for the benefit of all British Columbians," said IAF chair Stuart Wilson. "We are very pleased to honour Dr. Durance for his innovation and advancement of superior food dehydration technology."

nutraREV™ food dehydration technology uses a combination of vacuum pressure and microwave energy to deliver a high-speed, low-temperature food dehydration process. The technology can be used to dry fruits, vegetables, low-fat snacks, herbs, meats and seafood at, or below, 37°C (98°F).

"It is very gratifying to be recognized in B.C., where I've spent more than a decade of my career developing this technology," stated Dr. Durance. "B.C. is an ideal environment for agricultural innovators, given the diversity of the agri-food industry. nutraREV™ has the potential to benefit all agri-food sectors by providing producers with an economical, high quality method to diversify their operations."
