TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 26, 2012) - Miles and Kelly Nadal today proudly cut the ribbon on the new Miles and Kelly Nadal Youth Centre as part of the re-opening of the Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Club in Regent Park.

The $1.8-million gift for the Youth Centre expands both the footprint and programming to give teens and young adults increased access and opportunities for involvement in the Regent Park facility. It is part of a $7-million private-public partnership to renovate the Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs into a state-of-the-art facility that offers "at-risk" children and youth a safe place to experience new opportunities, build positive relationships and develop confidence.

The Miles and Kelly Nadal Youth Centre focuses on youth empowerment and leadership along with providing access to a wide range of unique activities including a technology centre, recording studio, basketball facility and climbing wall.

"My family and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to invest in some of the great future leaders of tomorrow, and to be part of laying a cornerstone of regeneration for this community in a way that gives youth and young adults more opportunity to achieve their full potential," said Miles Nadal, CEO, MDC Partners Inc. "We're deeply honoured to give back here, in our city. Regent Park is one of Canada's most dynamic neighbourhoods, and home to a generation of youth with the talent and energy that will shape the future of Toronto."

"Today is an important day for the youth and families of Regent Park, our neighbors and for all the residents of Toronto. And on behalf of them all, I would like to thank Miles & Kelly Nadal for their commitment to our community," said Ian Edward, executive director, Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs. "The re-opening of The Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs, Miles and Kelly Nadal Youth Centre represents a centre of hope for one of Toronto's most vibrant communities."
