Amsterdam, the Netherlands, January 30, 2012 - Ahold has repurchased 2,781,243 Ahold common shares in the period from January 23, 2012 up to and including January 27, 2012. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 10.2411 per share for a total consideration of € 28.48 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 90,290,037 common shares for a total consideration of € 827.78 million.
