Podcast to Provide Tips, Info for Today's Parent

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwire - Feb 10, 2012) - After a brief hiatus National PTA today re-launches National PTA Radio -- a podcast focused on education, family, parent involvement and legislation related topics, as well as real-life tips and information.

Anyone can listen to National PTA Radio on-demand and catch a quick show online with the click of a mouse at www.PTA.org. The podcast will include new segments every other Tuesday that include interviews with national experts, parent leaders and success stories from across the country. Show lengths will range from three to 10 minutes.

The first series of shows features a one-on-one interview with William Novelli, former CEO of AARP, former president of Porter Novelli (one of the world's largest public relations agencies), and current professor at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He has also served in executive-level positions with Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and CARE (the world's largest private relief and development organization). Other topics include podcasts on how your PTA can apply for a Take Your Family to School Week grant and a preview of National PTA's Legislative Conference.

Listeners can also influence the show topics by sharing their ideas via National PTA's Facebook page and Twitter handle. National PTA Radio producers will continuously engage the online community to ensure the podcasts are providing information for today's parent.
