Affiliated Distributors to Market Sustainable Energy Products in U.S.

North America's Largest Electrical Products Wholesale Buying & Marketing Group Advances PARALEX Entry into U.S. Marketplace

TORONTO, ONTARIO and WAYNE, PENNSYLVANIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 15, 2012) - Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:STG)("Sustainable Energy" or the "Company"), a leading manufacturer of power optimized solar inverters, and Affiliated Distributors ("AD"), North America's largest distributor group are pleased to announce that they have entered into a national distribution agreement to market and distribute the PARALEX inverter throughout North America.

AD's Electrical Division is the single largest group of independent electrical distributors in North America. With annual sales of over $10 Billion, it is the single largest group or chain in the electrical industry in North America with over 155 leading independent electrical distributors and 34 of the 100 largest electrical distributors in the U.S. AD's Clean Energy Initiative encompasses over 60 electrical distributors committed to promoting products in energy efficiency, renewable energy and Smart Grid technologies.

"Our partnership with AD gives our products and our unique value propositions immediate exposure to the largest group of electrical distributors in North America," said Michael Carten CEO of Sustainable Energy. "Our highest priority today is to build market awareness and acceptance of the PARALEX inverter value proposition in the U.S. where we are targeting the faster growing residential, small commercial and agricultural segments of the market. This is a big step in that direction and we are very excited to work with AD."

Based on market data from IMS Research (June 2010), the Company estimates that the U.S. demand for solar inverters in its market segments will exceed 1.2 Gigawatts in 2012 and will be almost 2 Gigawatts within 3 years.

"AD selected the PARALEX inverter primarily because it is one of the few commercially available solutions that brings the same high yield and design flexibility of micro-inverters at a cost and with the easy serviceability of conventional string inverters," commented Christian C. Siebens, AD's Director of Clean Energy. Siebens also stated that: "the PARALEX inverter allows AD to market a unique solar product offering, which will separate us from our competitors. We look forward to working with Sustainable Energy in 2012 and beyond".

Distributor technical and sales training, along with joint marketing efforts, are scheduled to begin in this quarter. Interested parties can contact Sustainable Energy's sales team directly at 416-816-5703.

About Sustainable Energy:

Sustainable Energy (www.sustainableenergy.com) is Canada's solar inverter company. The Company's patented inverter technologies are a breakthrough in power inverter design and capabilities for all forms of distributed generation and smart grid applications.

The SUNERGY inverter is the industry's only grid-interactive solar inverter which enables a "parallel" solar PV system architecture in higher power ratings at a cost and serviceability factor that is comparable to other conventional inverters in the market. The benefits of parallel solar are: (i) 5% - 25% higher total system power output; (ii) a better fill factor enabling better coverage of available space; (iii) simplified system design and installation; and (iv) the safety of extra low operating voltages which ensures the safety of building maintenance personnel, first responders, and tradesmen who may accidentally come into contact with system wiring.

Sustainable Energy's technologies are the subject of multiple patents issued by and pending with the Canadian and US Patent Offices.
