(EWS) (TSX VENTURE:EWS) is pleased to announce that it has received the Tire Technology International Award for Innovation and Excellence 2012 in the category of Environmental Achievement. The award selection and presentation was organized and sponsored by Tire Technology International magazine. The presentation was held on February 15, 2012 before over 500 tire industry professionals attending the Tire Technology Expo in Cologne, Germany.

The TR900 pilot plant in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, showcases the patented EWS process and tire recycling system. The TR900 is able to recover and separate carbon black, oil and steel, from tires while using the remaining gases as a fuel for power generation.
