Fred Reish Named One of 2012's Top Influencers in Defined Contribution

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 17, 2012) - Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP Partner Fred Reish was named the third most influential person, and the highest ranking private practice lawyer, in the defined contribution industry for 2012 by 401kWire.

Reish, a member of the firm's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Group and Chair of the Financial Services ERISA Team in Los Angeles, was recognized by the magazine in its annual "100 Most Influential People in Defined Contribution" feature as "the go-to source for advisors, plan sponsors and plan providers seeking to fit their business strategy to the regulators' ideas of how things ought to be done." He is the only private practice lawyer in the top 20.

401kWire described those on the list as being positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that are expected to arise out of the Department of Labor's recently announced fee disclosure rules.

Reish, along with his colleagues at Drinker Biddle, have begun highlighting for various members of the industry the impact of the Department of Labor's Final Regulation on service provider disclosure under ERISA Section 408(b)(2). Reish's most recent publication examines the impact on Registered Investment Advisers, as well as considerations for Plan Sponsors. It is available at: http://www.drinkerbiddle.com/files/ftpupload/PDF/408(b)(2)RegulationImpactonRIAs.pdf.

Reish, who joined Drinker Biddle last year, has ranked among the top six influencers every year the magazine has published the list. In 2007, the first year for the list, Reish was named the most influential person in the industry.

The nominees for the list are compiled by the magazine's editors and voted on by readers.
