Gilbarco's Chad Johnson Speaks About Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and Tomorrow's Technology at NATSO

GREENSBORO, NC--(Marketwire - Feb 20, 2012) - Chad Johnson, Marketing Manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, will appear on two educational discussion panels at this year's National Association of Truck Stop Operators (NATSO) Show at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

The first panel discussion titled "Become a Savvy DEF Seller" takes place on Tuesday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m. and will outline pricing structure options, cover DEF equipment, give a forecast of DEF and more. The aim of this session is to equip independent operators with knowledge to effectively sell DEF.

The other panel discussion titled "Tomorrow's Technology" will take place on Wednesday, February 22 at 8:00 a.m. Here you'll have the chance to hear which technologies will revolutionize the industry in the future. Technologies featured include innovations revolutionizing the payments industry such as chip-and-pin credit cards, mobile wallets and radio-frequency identification (RFID) fueling equipment.

In the United States, new EPA Vehicle Emission Standards for Diesel Engines went into effect in 2010 and by the end of 2015 75% of trucks on the road will require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). New transport trucks now have 20 gallon tanks for DEF and inject DEF into the exhaust stream to reduce Nitrogen Oxide emissions. With this increased demand comes new opportunity to capture additional customers.

NATSO is a national trade association representing travel plaza and truckstop owners and operators. Founded in 1960, NATSO represents over 1,070 travel plazas and truckstops owned by more than 240 corporate entities.
