Visually Stunning War Inc. Battle Zone Becomes First-Ever Stereoscopic 3D Free-to-Play Shooter

Online Warmongers Adds Proprietary 3D Technology to Eclipse Game Engine Driving War Inc. Battle Zone, Debut Title Has Amassed 1 Million Users in Open Beta

LOS ANGELES, March 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Independent game developer Online Warmongers Inc. today announced that its free-to-play shooter War Inc. Battle Zone will support stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D modes. The game is one of the first free-to-play titles to support stereo 3D, bringing even more realism to the standout visual fidelity and visceral action it delivers to players. The company internally developed the technology for 3D support for its proprietary Eclipse Engine. The engine powers its debut title War Inc. Battle Zone as well as future titles in development, and is available for license through Online Warmongers' parent company Arktos Entertainment.

"We want to be at the forefront of game makers bringing premium experiences to free-to-play," said Sergey Titov, CEO of Online Warmongers.  "Our proprietary 3D tech not only delivers a feature most players expect in high-quality console and packaged games, it does it better. We've developed technology in-house that minimizes frame rate loss in stereoscopic 3D mode by using historical rendered data. It's the first time the tech has been developed for a game engine designed explicitly for the PC free-to-play category."

Currently in open beta, War Inc. Battle Zone is developed and published by the team at Online Warmongers, a world class group of game makers with decades of experience between them. Lead developers at the company have worked on blockbusters such as Call of Duty Black Ops, Gears of War, League of Legends, Star Trek Online and Guitar Hero. Its proprietary Eclipse Engine, designed to power high-end games for the PC free-to-play market, delivers exceptional performance. The technology excels in visual rendering, character animation, audio effects, and real time multiplayer performance. It now supports both active stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D modes, and uses advanced techniques to minimize frame rate loss.  The engine is also capable of rendering 100% dynamic lighting, displaying such unique features as soft penumbra shadows from sunlight, subtle ambient occlusion, and even bounced lighting in real time. As a measure of its performance, players in War Inc. Battle Zone are able to change game environments by shooting out light bulbs, and they enjoy intense realism through visual effects where dust, smoke, fog and other particle effects change lighting and shadows in the theatre of battle.

War Inc. Battle Zone delivers hard-hitting action for players in a free-to-play online session-based shooter. Game play is team vs. team ground combat for up to 64 players, with an array of modern war gear and weaponry including drones at players' fingertips.  With one of the most feature-packed content rollouts on the horizon as it prepares to launch out of beta in the coming weeks, War Inc. Battle Zone is set to dominate the free-to-play, micro transaction-based game market.
