Today Toronto was the latest stop on Glenfiddich's cross-Canada Cask of Dreams tour. The world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky is rolling their whisky barrels from coast to coast, inviting Scotch lovers to sign their aspirations and dreams on a Cask of Dreams barrel. Making stops in ten cities across the country, The Cask of Dreams tour gives Canadians the rare opportunity to participate in the creation of a special vintage Single Malt Scotch and become part of Glenfiddich history.

In conjunction with Glenfiddich's "One Day You Will" campaign, Torontonians finished the statement "One day I will" on the finishing cask. The casks will now return to Dufftown, Scotland to be filled with the limited edition single malt Scotch. Once finished and bottled, Glenfiddich Limited Edition "Cask of Dreams" variant will be shipped back to Toronto where people can purchase the rare spirit from the cask they have personally inscribed. The limited edition bottle is expected to be on shelves by December 2012. Only five international markets have been chosen to carry the Cask of Dreams single malt Scotch.

The Toronto leg of the tour kicked off with a charitable cask rolling competition at Yonge and Dundas Square. Teams representing various Toronto companies rolled a whisky barrel across the Square and a $10,000 donation was made to the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. The fastest barrel-roller will also receive an exclusive tasting seminar once the bottles return to Toronto. The general public was then given an opportunity to sign their dreams and try their hand at barrel rolling.

"We are really excited about our stop in Toronto not only for the one-of-a-kind barrel race, but the opportunity to provide a $10,000 charitable donation," says Beth-Anne Perry, Glenfiddich Brand Manager. "The Cask of Dreams tour is all about fulfilling your dreams and this donation will help go towards fulfilling others."

Once the casks have completed their Toronto excursion, the American Oak barrels will return to Scotland where under the watchful eye of Malt Master, Brian Kinsman they will spend three months imparting a uniquely rich, intense flavour to the single malt he has specially chosen to create a rare and personally significant bottling.

Glenfiddich is running an online contest Between March 1st and July 31st, 2012, Glenfiddich in conjunction with Cask of Dreams for a chance to win a trip to their distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Scotch enthusiasts can go to www.glenfiddich.ca/caskofdreams and complete the sentence, "One day I will," the winning entrant will accompany their father or mentor to Scotland to witness the bottling of the limited edition single malt.
