Government of Canada Supports Economic Growth in Sainte-Claire


SAINTE-CLAIRE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 21, 2012) - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse, speaking on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Plastique Micron Inc. has been awarded a financial contribution. This will enable the company to acquire leading-edge equipment in order to diversify its markets, and should have a positive impact on economic growth in Chaudière-Appalaches.

"This contribution is further proof of our desire to support enterprises which, like Plastique Micron, make the investment needed to increase their productivity and generate economic growth in the regions in which they are located."

Plastique Micron Inc. is involved in the design and production of plastic containers through injection and extrusion. It manufactures 350 products for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors. This SME is recognized for the quality of its manufactured products, its innovativeness and its ability to produce complex containers tailored to its clients' requirements. The acquisition of specialized equipment will enable the firm to go after the food and personal care markets.
