SANTA ROSA, Calif., March 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ZAP Jonway (OTCBB:ZAAP), a manufacturer of gasoline and new energy electric vehicles (EVs), held its 2012 Annual Dealership Conference March 9th through 11th at the Intercontinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort in Hangzhou, China. Over 400 direct dealers, sub-dealers and customer support service center partners attended the three-day conference, and over 50 local media attended the first day opening ceremony.

The new 2012 JNZ A380 G-5 model with its fully re-styled interior including LED headlights, plush seating, and many other amenities, was launched to the 450 plus attendees. ZAP Jonway also unveiled its future concept vehicle designed by Maggiora, a renowned Italian auto designer well known for its exquisite stylish design of Italian sports cars. This new model is planned for release at the end of 2013, available for purchase in 2014.

Introduces 25 Additional Dealerships in New Provinces like Shangdong, Henan and Yunan
During the last quarter of 2011 and early part of 2012, sales and executive management focused on dealership effectiveness. They reviewed the sales performance of all of the direct dealers and completed a re-qualification process to support the more capable dealerships and to eliminate non-producers. In addition to refreshing the team and driving growth, ZAP Jonway continued to identify new dealerships in high sales potential territories and secured 25 additional experienced, well financed dealerships in a number of strategic provinces like Shangdong, Henan and Yunan. Jonway's A380 SUV has done particularly well selling in territories with rugged terrain and endurance demands. While narrowing down on the aggregate number of dealers, management believes the new team will foster greater efficiency and effectiveness.
