Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter Version 7.0 Now Include Training Plans, Stopwatch Pages and iCloud Support

New configurable Stopwatch Pages can now display more than 150 workout statistics with a simple swipe

San Francisco, CA, April 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- iPhone fitness app developer Abvio Inc. has released version 7.0 of its top-rated apps, Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter. This major update includes new features that serve a wide range of users, from beginning runners to avid walkers to expert cyclists.

Version 7.0 now includes 5K, 10K, half-marathon and marathon training plans.  The 5K training plan is designed for beginning runners, training them to run their first 5K race using a carefully designed program that starts with run and walk intervals of just a few minutes, building up to a full 5K race in 10 weeks.  The 10K, half marathon and marathon plans build from this base to support running their race distances.

Training plans can be built using the app to serve other goals, including walking and cycling plans.  Training plans and workouts are viewable within the app's Calendar view, and can be synchronized to the iPhone calendar and to online calendars such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar.

The new Stopwatch Pages feature allows for easy access to all your workout data, accessible with a simple swipe across the screen. The stopwatch is highly configurable to include any of 150 statistics, and dozens of graphs, maps, splits, intervals and zones' displays. Among other additions to Stopwatch Pages is an integrated music player as well as color-coded statistics for better data visualization.

"We're very excited about all of the new features in this version, but Stopwatch Pages are our favorite," said Steve Kusmer, CEO of Abvio. "Previous versions did a great job of recording and announcing workout data, but Stopwatch Pages in 7.0 expands this ability to allow you to see all your data easily, exactly the way you want to see it. Cyclists using iPhone bike mounts should be thrilled that they can now just swipe with a thumb rather than hitting buttons to view stats, maps, and graphs while riding."

This update also includes a new History Tab that provides powerful reporting. The revamped History gives you a view of recent workouts and can include summaries of performance by week, month, years, routes, activities, competitors and training plans.

First iPhone Fitness Apps to Support iCloud

Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter 7.0 are the first GPS fitness apps for iPhone to support iCloud for data backup and restore (iOS 5.0 and later). Workout data can be scheduled for automatic backup daily, weekly, or any specified interval. The data can be loaded from iCloud onto an iPad for review and analysis, and then loaded back to an iPhone. In addition, a new iTunes file sharing feature (iOS 4.0 or later) allows customers to save and restore the application database using iTunes.
