TeliaSonera
earlier this morning announced that MegaFon’s shareholders, TeliaSonera, AF
Telecom and Altimo have agreed to realize value in MegaFon through dividends,
sale of shares and a potential public offering.
This press release confirms that MegaFon has today paid out dividends to its
shareholders in the amount of USD 5.15 billion, Altimo has sold its shares in
MegaFon to AF Telecom and to a subsidiary of MegaFon and TeliaSonera has sold
all its shares in Telecominvest to AF Telecom.
