Global Race Club to Host Drag Racing Competition

$100,000 Cash Offered as Prizes


LANGHORNE, Pa., April 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Social and casual game developer and publisher Entertainment Games, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM), the company behind the innovative social game Retro World and Global Race Club, a skill-based drag racing game for players of all ages, announced today plans for a weekend of skill-based drag racing competition January 26 and 27, 2013. The event will begin with eight qualifying brackets leading to the quarter finals, then the semi-finals, and then the best of three Finals on Sunday, January 27, 2013. The Top Winner of the skill-based Global Race Club DragRacing Competition will receive a total of $46,875 from the total of $100,000. Qualifying Winners will receive $3,125, Quarter Final winners will receive a total of $9,375, the Semi-Final winners will receive a total of $21,875, with the Top Winner receiving the grand total of $46,875. There will be eight cash prize winners in all.

Global Race Club lets players get their hands greasy by building and customizing the fast car of their dreams. Players can build from the ground up or buy fully restored Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, even world famous Kustom Cars designed and built by George Barris, the King of Kustomizers and a creative consultant on Global Race Club. Players can show off their car creations or challenge their friends and rivals to head-to-head racing action at the drag strip. It's a skill-based, fun, social, competitive, never-ending quest to build and race the unforgettable, unbeatable car. 

Kickstarter campaign contributors will receive rewards across a variety of tiers. Rewards range from original concept art to a stylish racing jacket to getting a virtual car named after a contributor.   And for a top tier, $10,000 pledge, contributors will get an Executive Producer credit, and an opportunity to visit the Peterson Auto Museum, meet George Barris, receive a personal tour of his world-famous shop, and be photographed with his iconic Barris Kustom cars.
