Kraig Biocraft Laboratories' Monster Silkworms Pleased the Crowds at 2012 Techtextil North America

Company's Attendance Generates Additional Spider Silk Interest at North America's Only Dedicated Show for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens

LANSING, Mich., May 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB:KBLB.PK) (the "Company") announces that the Company exhibited its Monster Silk™ technology at the recently concluded Techtextil North America conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The Company's exhibit, which featured living transgenic silkworms, Monster Silk™ cocoons, spools of recombinant spider silk and the Company's CEO, was the first exhibition of recombinant spider silk technology to the greater technical textile community. The Company used the event as a mass networking venue to promote its Monster Silk(TM) technology to textile industry experts, corporations and governmental professionals.

"In most cases we were introducing technical textile companies to our spider silk technology," said CEO Kim K Thompson. "But many attendees had been following our development of Monster Silk™ and sought us out when they learned we would be exhibiting.

"Techtextil North America exceeded our expectations and goals in terms of the overwhelmingly positive response we received from industry representatives," continued Thompson. "Numerous attendees expressed outright amazement at our recombinant spider silk technology."

"One of our key conference objectives was to meet with representatives of a number of specific companies who we had long targeted as potential Monster Silk™ commercialization partners. The Techtextil conference actually exceeded our expectations in that regard as well, as we were able to meet with most of those companies, along with representatives of a great many other companies in the technical textile industry. We're most pleased with these initial meetings and with the reception that the conference attendees gave our recombinant spider silk. Of course we are only looking for a very limited number of companies to act as commercialization partners for recombinant spider silk based products. We want to thank the Techtextil organizers as well as all of the conference attendees who made our debut a resounding success."
