As also previously communicated in IT notice (19/12), NASDAQ OMX is about to introduce FDS system access and data transfer security related changes on Monday next week. These changes will have an impact on ALL the FDS customers and file requests.
The changes will take place on Monday May 7th, 2012 and are both technical and account policy related.
1) The system transfer protocol will change and instead of HTTP, the HTTPS will be used. From customer point of view this means that the URL requests to FDS must begin with “https” instead of “http”. Both of the protocols are now supported in the system in parallel, but http will be supported only till May 6th, 2012 after which only https requests are being allowed.
2) We are also changing the password policy and supply passwords with a validity period (the length of which will be decided and informed later). In the beginning of this new policy, we will provide also existing customers with new passwords, which can be requested via mail from: dataproducts@nasdaqomx.com. Passwords are not given by phone. Old passwords are valid till May 6th, 2012 and the new ones valid starting May 7th, 2012.
