Waller Lansden Announces Key Appointments for Two Partners

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - May 7, 2012) - Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP today announced two partners to be appointed to key positions in the firm:

• Miranda K. Kelley will serve as the chair of Women of Waller, an internal initiative that provides opportunities to the firm's female attorneys for mentoring, community service, work-life balance and leadership development.
• MaryEllen Sullivan Pickrell will serve as professional development partner, in which she will oversee a firm-wide leadership training program.

Miranda Kelley is a partner at Waller Lansden and has become chair of Women of Waller, an initiative that provides professional development for women attorneys with a focus on building long-term careers with the firm. In addition, Women of Waller have been actively involved with YWCA Weaver Domestic Violence Center as well as other local organizations that provide services and programs helping women. Kelley's legal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and securities law, with experience also in real estate syndications and reporting of equity and debt offerings. Kelley is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and received her B.S. from Lipscomb University.

MaryEllen Pickrell is a partner at Waller Lansden and will now also serve as the firm's new professional development partner. As the previous leader of Waller Lansden's corporate group, she has focused her legal practice on mergers and acquisitions. Pickrell is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations, ABA Health Law Section, American Health Lawyers Association, and the Nashville Health Care Council. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and received her B.A. from Williams College.
