NEW YORK, May 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ALM, a leading provider of news and business information to the legal and real estate industries, today announced that industry veteran Lenny Izzo has been appointed as senior vice president of marketing at the company.
Izzo fills a new position at ALM, heading up a centralized marketing organization that will report directly to Bill Carter, ALM's president and chief executive officer. The new marketing organization will unite ALM's legal marketing, audience development and marketing database teams, which formerly reported to different business managers.
Izzo joins ALM from Thomson Reuters, where he was most recently vice president of marketing for the Small Law Business Unit of the company. Prior to his time at Thomson Reuters, Izzo held leadership roles at LexisNexis, and GES Exposition Services.
"Lenny has extensive experience with managing marketing teams in the legal information services business and is an ideal person to lead the new marketing organization we're building at ALM," said Carter. "We have a tremendous opportunity to leverage our valuable editorial content and comprehensive portfolio of legal information services by applying real investment in our marketing approach. I look forward to Lenny's leadership in this critical area for ALM."
Izzo earned an MBA from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. Prior to his business career, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, with assignments in Germany, Bosnia, and Kuwait.
