Next week, on May 18-19, the Meads Mill Team competes in the Science Olympiad National Tournament at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Science Olympiad, a national program that strives to create a passion for learning science, has 80,000 students nationwide. The program offers tournaments on building, district, county, state, and national tournament levels. The Meads Mill Middle School Science Olympiad is formed by 15 students, who are selected from over 60 competitive 6th, 7th and 8th grade students interested in science and technology. The team members excelled in the state tournament after countless hours of training and preparation, motivated by teachers, coaches and parents alike.
