Vizit reports that it is releasing the beta version of the product to existing Vizit customers, partners, and evaluators this month. The Vizit 5 release closes the gap between SharePoint search and collaboration, by enabling the user to find documents and specific passages or exhibits within documents, and share that content in any SharePoint collaborative workspace.
Vizit 5 will expand the product's search capabilities with the ability to carry search terms into the document, open the document to the most relevant page, and use the highlighted search terms to easily find specific key text or exhibits in a document.
The search enhancements will be complimented by improvements to Vizit's social features. The product will include enhancements to Vizit's NewsGator social integration, as well as integration of Vizit into Yammer. Vizit 5 will integrate document management into Yammer's and NewsGator's social solutions, letting users bring content into the conversation, while maintaining SharePoint's high levels of privacy and security.
Vizit 5 beta users will also get a look at Vizit's new Digital Rights Management features for SharePoint document management. Now users can view SharePoint documents with a watermark, as well as restrict editing, downloading, and printing of documents.
