HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jul 10, 2012) - Weir Oil and Gas announced that John Jameson has been appointed President of Weir Seaboard. In this role, Jameson will be responsible for strategic direction of Weir Seaboard and the achievement of yearly sales and profit targets.

Jameson has a wealth of upstream experience; he began his career with Halliburton as a field engineer and held a variety of roles over a span of 16 years, and ultimately rose to the position of global business unit manager. Following Halliburton, John spent 12 years at Weatherford where he began as Global Business Unit Manager for their PCP business and was promoted to Senior Vice President for the US Region, leading a conglomerate of business segments including the Weatherford Wellhead business.

John received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Masters of Business Administration from Centenary College. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Petroleum Engineering).
