The e-Stewards Standard for Responsible Recycling and Reuse of Electronics was developed by the Basel Action Network (BAN), a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization in the United States. The e-Stewards Standard sets the bar for globally responsible recycling of e-waste and prohibits export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries.

e-Stewards recyclers must be certified by independent auditors, or certification bodies, that are specially trained and accredited to audit to the e-Stewards Standards. The rigorous, on-site audits are performed at least once a year. By holding all four certifications combined with a GSA Schedule and Congressional Recommendation with the United States government, AnythingIT continues to reinforce its standing as an elite service provider in the electronics recycling and re-use industry.
