Brandman University Extended Education to Offer Global Professional Human Resources Course

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 18, 2012) - Brandman University Extended Education -- the innovative arm of Brandman University and a part of the Chapman University system -- has partnered with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer an online Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) Course to help human resources professionals compete in today's increasingly global market.

GPHR certification was created to equip human resources professionals with best practices and the latest techniques for managing human resources on a global scale. The certification preparation course is designed to arm HR professionals with a global mindset and an understanding of the implications of employing an international staff, transacting business worldwide and working with diverse multicultural teams. Once reserved for multinational companies, these considerations are increasingly relevant within domestic firms that employ talent from various countries and backgrounds.

Brandman will launch the online GPHR course with a C-level executive breakfast co-hosted by the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA). The breakfast, entitled "The Role and Relevancy of Human Resources in Globalization," will be held at the PIHRA Conference in the Anaheim Convention Center on August 28, at 7 a.m. A panel of HR experts will share how they prepared their companies to compete in the globalization of supply and demand business with trained teams focused on strategic HR management, international talent acquisition and mobility and global compensation and benefits.
