Bielefeld, July 31th 2012. Biogas Nord AG, the leading provider of turnkey
biogas solutions, is expanding its activity to the Romanian market by
entering into a construction agreement for a biogas plant with a total
electrical power of 3 MW. The plant is situated in the area Satu Mare,
northwest Romania, and the total contract value is approximately EUR 6.6
million. The plant is expected to be commissioned at the end of 2012 or at
the beginning of 2013. Biogas Nord Power AG has decided to invest in the
plant, receiving 30% of the shares in the SPV which owns the plant. This is
in line with the Company's long-term strategy of generating revenues by
owning and operating its own plants, thus offsetting the seasonal
fluctuations within the European construction sector.
The electricity produced by the plant, owned by Biogas Nord Camin SRL, will
be fed into the public grid, while the generated heat will be used by a
large greenhouse. By using the BiNoLiquifeed-technology, the substrate
quantity is significantly reduced, and higher gas yields will be achieved.
The plant is expected to generate a 30% IRR.

certificates offer additional economic incentives. We plan to expand and to
intensify our marketing and sales activities in Romania in the medium and
long term.'
