OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 17, 2012) - "Round It Up" at Giant Tiger from August 18 to September 9, 2012! We invite our customers to make a donation during our national fundraising campaign where proceeds will be remitted to organizations with school age children's breakfast programs. One in 10 Canadian children goes to school without eating breakfast. With Back To School soon upon us, we feel that this is a timely fundraising effort.
During this "Round It Up" campaign, customers will be asked to round up their receipt to the next dollar value, with all proceeds going to a relevant organization as selected by the stores. Participating stores will post signage with more details.
In 2011, Giant Tiger raised $72,000 for breakfast clubs and various similar organizations across the country with this fundraiser.
