LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 27, 2012) -   MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF) (MMR) today announced it has entered into an agreement with Ron Brown, Olympic Gold Medalist and former NFL wide receiver for the Los Angeles Raiders and Los Angeles Rams, who is currently Director of Business Affairs for the Southern California Chapter of the NFL Retired Players Association (RPA), to recruit athletes and entertainment personalities to join the "MMRPro Sports Team." Team members will represent MMRGlobal as ambassadors of health in a campaign to educate the public on the importance of having a Personal Health Record (PHR), particularly in families where children are active in sports. MMR is a leading provider of Personal Health Records for consumers and electronic document management and imaging systems for healthcare professionals through its MMRPro product offerings. Team members will sign up fans for 15-day free training trials of the Company's MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record (www.mmrvideos.com), a secure, easy-to-use online tool that enables individuals and families to safely store all their medical records and copies of other important documents, such as copies of insurance policies, photo ID and immunization records, and access them anytime from anywhere, especially in an emergency.

The campaign to educate consumers, employers and non-profit organizations on the importance of having a PHR also serves to benefit each player's personal charity from sales of MyMedicalRecords, which includes programs to provide care for athletes who have suffered from concussions and other brain injuries. Team members will be asked to participate in presentations on the importance of having a Personal Health Record at children's hospitals, regional health fairs and other events where they are scheduled to appear. Former NFL players currently participating on the MMRPro Sports Team include David Hill, tight end for the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams, Anthony Miller, All-Pro wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers, and Mike Harden, who played safety for the Los Angeles Raiders and Denver Broncos. Other players will be announced as they are added. Each MMRPro Sports Team member will have a landing page where their fans can go to sign up and begin the process of setting up a MyMedicalRecords account that is bilingual in English and Spanish and covers up to 10 family members, including pets (http://mmrprosports.com/ronbrown/).

According to MMRPro team captain Ron Brown, "Based on the incidence of long-term effects from sports injuries, especially concussions and other types of traumatic brain injuries, we recognize the importance for families to have the tools to track and quickly access their health information, particularly when it comes to their children. We investigated the opportunities for offering Personal Health Records through our alumni and approached MMRGlobal about joining forces to offer their MyMedicalRecords PHR. The result is a working relationship we believe brings a great deal of value to our members and can provide an important service to the public at large."

Brown continued, "As an outcome of our meetings with MMR, we have also created 'Pros with a Purpose' to give back to the communities that supported us as players because we believe it's all about doing good and making sure athletes and their families have a Personal Health Record." Brown will kick the program off appearing for Marathon Kids® on October 6, 2012 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where he won the Olympic Gold Medal in the 4x100 meter relay in 1984. Marathon Kids® is a program of running, walking and nutritional fitness that promotes healthy and active lifestyles for Kindergarten through 5th grade school children in a fun and motivating way.

Bob Lorsch, CEO of MMRGlobal, said, "In addition to NFL players, we are recruiting NBA players and professional wrestlers, where brain injuries are a key focus. The mandate that doctors share online copies of medical records with their patients by 2014 has added tremendous impetus to our business model of selling digitized PHRs."
