What:
The Muscular Dystrophy Association will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square, New York City. The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Metro New York and WWOR My9 will join together to introduce area families affected by muscle disease to the community during the local broadcast of the annual Labor Day weekend show, this year called MDA SHOW of STRENGTH™.
MDA SHOW of STRENGTH will broadcast three hours of heartwarming stories of strength, news on the latest research advancements made possible through the support of the generous American public, and performances from today's hit-making musical talent. Scheduled performances include: Carrie Underwood, B.o.B, Luke Bryan, Pitbull, Hot Chelle Rae, Brandy, One Republic, Alanis Morissette, Gavin DeGraw, All-American Rejects, Karmin, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Silhouettes and more. Celebrities scheduled to appear are being added to the list daily; currently, Tim McGraw, Khloe Kardashian, Nancy O'Dell, Kurt Warner, Lou Ferrigno and Max Adler are scheduled to appear.
In honor of the occasion, Russ Salzberg, FOX 5 and My9 Sports Anchor and Brenda Blackmon My9 News Anchor will ring the Closing Bell.
