Premier Four-Bedroom Rocky Mountain Home to Sell at Real Estate Auction Through J. P. King

Rainbow's End, a Four-Bedroom Estate at One of the Highest Points in Stagecoach Valley, Will Sell at a Real Estate Auction on September 28 With a Minimum Bid of $635,000

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwire - Aug 28, 2012) - At a luxury real estate auction on September 28, J. P. King Auction Company will sell a four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom estate overlooking Stagecoach Valley. Sitting on the highest portion of the ridge, Rainbow's End is perched at a 7,960-foot elevation and will sell at auction to the highest bidder above $635,000.

"Up here on the ridge, the view takes in the entire valley," said Tony Stich, who, with his wife, built the property nine years ago. "If a storm is coming in, you see it. If a friend is coming to visit, you see them four miles away. Our neighbor has three ponds on his 58-acre property, so that brings in more wildlife and ensures your views won't be obstructed."

The Stiches paid the utmost attention to detail when constructing the home, even to ensure the home didn't stand out too much from its surroundings. Stich says he looked at 5,400 home plans before deciding on the perfect one for Rainbow's End, which features an open floor plan, custom lodgepole pine staircase and a custom-carved front door. Each aspect of the home "gives it a rustic feel without being rustic at all," Stich said.

"The name behind the property is somewhat of a double entendre," Donna Stich explained. "Tony is an avid Rainbow Trout fisherman, but also, just before we moved in, there was a double rainbow over the top of the house. When we saw that, we knew that was the name for our home."

The estate also features upscale amenities such as heated flooring throughout, a magnetic water softener, floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the surrounding views and a sound system throughout the home.

While perfecting every detail of the home was an ongoing project for Stich, it's the views he says he will miss the most. "The sunsets, the wildlife and the views have made this a perfect home for us. There's a view from every single room in the house, even the garage."

The home will sell fully furnished. Two five-acre estate home sites and several individual lots in the Horseback Subdivision will also be offered at the auction.

The auction will take place on Friday, September 28 at 11 a.m. at the property, which is located at 33317 Maricopa Trail in Oak Creek, just outside of Steamboat Springs. Property tours will begin on September 19 and continue through auction day. For additional information, individuals may contact J. P.
