Cambridge Associates Appoints Jeffrey Mansukhani Director of Strategy for Research Navigator, Firm's Comprehensive Alternative Asset Manager Research Platform

Research Navigator(SM) Gives Investors Access to the Investment Research Platform Used by the Firm's Consultants to Analyze Hedge Fund and Private Investment Managers and Funds

BOSTON, MA and MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 29, 2012) - Cambridge Associates, provider of independent investment advice and research to institutional and private clients worldwide, has named Jeffrey D. Mansukhani, 47, a Managing Director of the firm, Director of Research Navigator(SM) Strategy.

In this role, Mr. Mansukhani will lead the ongoing expansion of the firm's sophisticated Research Navigator offering. Research Navigator gives experienced owners of assets access to a Cambridge alternative assets specialist and a continually updated online platform containing both quantitative data and qualitative insight on managers and funds within the firm's hedge fund and private investment manager databases.

Research Navigator's hedge fund module tracks over 2,500 investment products, and the private investment module tracks more than 10,000 funds. The service includes manager due diligence reports, comments, performance information and analytics.

"The growth of alternative investments has created more complex portfolios that, in turn, require very rigorous ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Some of our clients have decided to outsource much of the day-to-day oversight of their hedge fund and private investment programs to us. Others have built their own internal staffs and want to take advantage of our scale by leveraging our due diligence, analytical tools and opinions. Research Navigator is designed to serve this latter group. Jeff's appointment as the Director of Research Navigator Strategy is part of our commitment to create a standard-setting offering of its kind," said Scott Berney, President and Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge Associates.

Mr. Mansukhani, who is based in the firm's Menlo Park, CA, office, has served as a specialist consultant at Cambridge, constructing and overseeing private investment portfolios for university, foundation and other non-profit and family clients with total assets ranging from $200 million to over $100 billion. Before joining the firm, he was a partner and member of the investment committee at Bay Hills Capital, a private equity fund of funds. He was previously in asset management roles at Credit Suisse First Boston and before that was an attorney at an international law firm. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, a JD from Florida State University, and a BA from University of San Diego. He is a member of the California Bar Association.

"Research Navigator gives LPs access to a seasoned alternative assets specialist and the due diligence platform that we use to advise our clients on alternative assets, highlighting opportunities for which we have high conviction. Manager and fund information gathered from the thousands of in-person meetings and calls that we are conducting each year are at our clients' fingertips; the service enables clients to tap into a wealth of insight, data, and analytical tools in order to inform their decision-making," Mr. Mansukhani said.
