BALTIMORE, Sept. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heritage Foundation president Dr. Edwin J. Feulner was a guest on Stansberry Radio last week, and discussed a range of topics with co-host Porter Stansberry, including the sad state of the Social Security System.
"The whole Social Security system is a Ponzi scheme," Dr. Feulner said. "The American people have to wake up and say, 'Hey, we have to do something about this.' Why does Warren Buffett get a Social Security check? What kind of nuttiness is this?"
Porter Stansberry has often shared the same sentiments about social security, saying "it is a fraud in every respect," and advocating a switch to a pure pension system where individuals control their own retirement finances. Porter also commiserated with Dr. Feulner about another subject he's passionate about - the terrible decline of America's educational system.
Despite his criticisms of government, Dr. Feulner still believes The U.S. would continue to be the best country in the world. With more than 700,000 paid supporters, the Heritage Foundation is the most prominent conservative think tank in the world.
