CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 7, 2012) - Calgary's largest annual food drive (and one of the largest in the world) is taking place this Saturday, September 8th. Local media is invited to witness the generosity of Calgarians in action at one of the City-Wide Food Drive collection hubs! This year, the goal is to set a Guinness World Record, collecting 560,000 lbs of non-perishable food which will provide nutritious meals for more than 5,300 Calgarians.
What: A photo and interview opportunity with Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Food Bank organizers as food is unloaded from hundreds of cars driven by volunteers onto palettes, and then onto trucks.
When: Saturday, September 8th at 11:30 A.M.
