Bregal Investments Announces Leadership Succession

Steven Black and Quentin Van Doosselaere Appointed Bregal Co-CEOs; Louis Brenninkmeijer to Take on the New Role of Non-Executive Chairman


NEW YORK, Sept. 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In the process of a long planned succession at Bregal Investments, COFRA Holding AG announced the appointment of Steven Black and Quentin Van Doosselaere as the new Bregal Co-CEOs effective January 1, 2013. They will succeed the founding Bregal Chairmen Louis Brenninkmeijer and Yves de Balmann. Yves will retire at the end of 2012 while Louis will transition into the newly created role of non-executive Chairman.

Steven is a seasoned senior executive in the financial and investment world with a long-standing career at JP Morgan, Citigroup and Salomon Smith Barney. In addition, Steven is a member of the Board of Directors of NASDAQ. He will be based in Bregal's London office.
 
Quentin has been part of the senior management team at Bregal since 2009 and is a member of the investment committees for all Bregal funds. Most recently he led the expansion of the firm's investment platform with the creation of Bregal Partners and Bregal Sagemount. Quentin will continue to be based in New York.
