ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) - Medical device and medical device data system (MDDS) companies seeking funding are invited to apply to present at the Southeastern Medical Device Association's (SEMDA) 7th annual conference to be held February 19-20, 2013, at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center.

Each accepted company will have a mentoring team of industry experts that includes an investor and a CEO, plus experts in legal, commercialization and finance.

A new addition to this year's program is an award for "Best Presenting Company." The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and announced at the end of the conference.

George Barr, president of Smart Perfusion in Charlotte, N.C., participated in the 2012 Conference as a presenting company.
