Chicago Independent Agency TRIS3CT Records Third Straight Year of +50% Growth

Builds on Retail and Promotion Foundation to Provide Branding/Advertising Services for Growing Roster of Blue-Chip Clients; Moves to New Chicago Headquarters and Opens West Coast Office

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) -  Chicago-based TRIS3CT, an independent marketing agency, today announced that it has recorded three consecutive years of over 50% growth, despite a challenging economy. Trisect recently completed its move to a new 30,000-square-foot headquarters in Chicago and has expanded operations to a second office in Southern California.

Chicago Growth
Trisect tripled its Chicago-based staff during the past three years, underscoring the growing interest in agencies that understand how to create marketing programs that drive sales while building brands. The agency, founded in 2005 as a retail and promotion strategy specialist, now offers a full range of capabilities and employs a staff of more than 130 people, up from just 45 people in mid 2009.

The office moves come at a time of significant momentum for Trisect. Over the past two years, it has been named an AOR (agency of record) for US Cellular (Retail), ConAgra (Consumer Promotion) and DeVry University (National Student Programs). Trisect recently launched integrated campaigns including broadcast assignments for Kimberly-Clark's Scott, Viva and Cottonelle brands and Kawasaki's Ninja and KX motocross brands.

"As an independent and channel agnostic agency, we can offer a unique point of view that has become a magnet for clients seeking a trusted partner to navigate the challenges of the current economy," Trisect President Tim Nelson said. "It has also made us a destination for talent seeking an alternative to rigid, channel-based holding company structures." The agency recently placed #3 on Ad Age's list of Best Places to Work and was listed in Crain's Chicago Business at #7 on its list of Best Places to Work in Chicago.

The new office space -- located in a historic, five-story building at the intersection of Adams and Jefferson streets -- has undergone state-of-the-art rehab work. The loft space, designed in partnership with Chicago architecture firm Gary Lee partners, fosters client collaboration and agency-wide creativity with workable surfaces at every turn, allowing employees to write, post, tack and share thoughts and ideas.

"Our growth is a tribute to both our clients and our hard-working employees," said Dick Thomas, founder and CEO of Trisect. "Our new space represents more than just a physical expansion -- it's a manifestation of our promise to bring our clients and employees the very best that the industry has to offer."

Southern California Expansion
The opening of Trisect's West Coast operation was triggered by its rapidly growing relationship with Kawasaki but also reflects the agency's positive outlook on the market. Located in El Segundo's "agency alley", the Trisect local office is led by West Coast Managing Director Tom Stiefermann, who led the Kawasaki business for several years from Chicago before relocating. "There is no shortage of advertising shops here, but we do see opportunities for an agency that is also a strong integrator with the proven expertise in retail and promotion that has made us such a great match with Kawasaki," Stiefermann said.
