CASTLE ROCK, CO and BARRINGTON, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 13, 2012) - Heinen's Fine Foods, known for its customer service and offering some of the finest products from quality sources, will be showcasing its beef and one of its beef producers this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 14-16. That's when cattleman Jesse Larios, one of the producers of Heinen's Own Beef, is coming to the recently opened Heinen's grocery store in Barrington, IL, to discuss his cattle operation and IMI Global's (OTCQB: WFCF) "Where Food Comes From®" concept with Heinen's shoppers.

Using QR tags for smart phones, Where Food Comes From leads consumers through the story behind their food and empowers customers to make informed decisions about what they feed their families. Customers can learn more about the families who produce their food, as well as more specific details on the beef itself.

Jesse Larios, manager of a fourth generation family cattle operation, will greet Heinen's shoppers from noon - 4 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday. Shoppers can enjoy samples of Heinen's Own Beef while learning more about the Where Food Comes From program.

"Knowing where your food comes from is the basis for knowing everything about what you eat," said Tom Heinen. "We take great pride in the specifications that go into the sourcing of our food products. We only accept the very best for our customers. The Where Food Comes From labeling program helps us provide our customers information about the source of our beef and pork products, and lets consumers learn firsthand about where, how and by whom their food was raised."

Joe Heinen opened his first Heinen's supermarket in 1929 as one of the best meat markets in Cleveland. Eighteen neighborhood stores later, and now in Barrington, IL, Heinen's is a family-owned and operated chain of grocery stores offering an entire line of fine foods. Heinen's Own Beef and Pork is approved through the Where Food Comes From program. Only products verified through a third-party audit back to the source of origin are eligible for the program.
