LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2012) - On Saturday, October 6, shock-illusionist Dan Sperry will make a special appearance at the top-ranked, haunted attraction Fright Dome at Circus Circus Las Vegas. Sperry will test fate and challenge the impossible in a death-defying stunt where he will race against time to escape from drowning.
Immediately following the hearse entrance kickoff to Fright Dome's opening for the evening, Sperry will place himself inside of a small water tank and be locked and chained in place with five industrial Master padlocks and four Smith & Wesson hand and leg cuff locks. He will then have exactly three minutes to free himself from the perils within before either drowning or being impaled by a row of razor sharp spikes falling from above.
"Fright Dome has become my home for Halloween since 2010," said Sperry. "This year between my nightly show in New York City and being on tour internationally I couldn't appear for the entire month, so when I sat down with the Fright Dome team I devised this one of a kind escape to be the craziest thing I've ever done in celebration of its 10th anniversary and my one night only appearance. I think it will really keep attendees on the edge of their seats and it really is the scariest thing I've ever tried. I'm really nervous about this one."
A longtime Las Vegas resident, Sperry now calls New York City home, starring in his very own off-Broadway hit "MAGIC SHOW" in the heart of the theater district of Times Square. Voted "Best of Manhattan" for 2012, guests can experience the unimaginable nightly as he uses razor blades, broken glass and more to create an entertaining non-stop roller coaster ride of pure mayhem. In late October 2012, during the show Sperry will be awarded a coveted Merlin Award from the International Magicians Society.
