Monster Worldwide to Sponsor Global Candidate Experience Awards

Returning Sponsor to Support the Candidate Experience Awards on a Platinum Level in North America and the United Kingdom

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and LONDON--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - The Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience, today announced that Monster.com, the worldwide leader in successfully connecting people to job opportunities and the flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc., is returning as a global platinum sponsor of the 2012 Candidate Experience Awards (known as "the CandEs"). Supporting the CandEs' success and global expansion, Monster is sponsoring the awards and benchmarking program for both North America and the United Kingdom.

Founded by the industry's leading authorities on candidate experience, the CandEs are designed to recognize organizations that produce outstanding candidate experiences. The CandEs are also focused on helping employers in both North America and the U.K. benchmark their candidate experience against other companies' and provide feedback on how they can improve their processes. While companies that offer positive recruiting, screening and onboarding experiences can strengthen employment brand and attract top-level talent to fill their positions, those whose candidate experiences fall short of jobseeker expectations are likely to leave candidates with feelings of frustration and resentment, damaging employment brand, talent acquisition and a company's bottom line.

As the worldwide leader in connecting people to jobs, Monster is dedicated to improving the candidate experience by helping job seekers find relevant positions that match their skills and location. Through its comprehensive job listings, the company helps more than 45 million job seekers find and connect with employers each month, and offers thought leadership to help job seekers and employers connect. With an understanding of the need for a more positive candidate experience that provides individuals with full visibility throughout the application process, the company is supporting the goal of the CandEs to recognize the companies that provide job seekers with an outstanding candidate experience.

"Millions of individuals count on Monster to connect with the jobs and employers that can help bring their careers to the next level. But companies must do their part as well to ensure they attract a high level of talent by enhancing the candidate experience and, in turn, their employment brand," said Eric Winegardner, Vice President of Client Adoption, Monster Worldwide. "We are excited to sponsor the CandEs as the program works to educate the market and recognize those employers who are leading the way and providing a transparent process throughout the entire recruiting continuum."

On behalf of the Talent Board, chairman and president of Talent Function Group, Elaine Orler, welcomed returning sponsor, Monster, commenting, "Dedicated to changing the way people think about work, Monster helps candidates and employers improve their lives with career management, job search, recruiting and talent intelligence solutions. Monster's global platinum sponsorship goes a long way in assisting our efforts to uncover the role that both employers and candidates play in creating a positive experience."

The CandEs consist of three survey rounds that capture and evaluate employers' talent acquisition processes and practices through the entire recruitment cycle and candidate experience. The North American CandEs, which experienced a record number of participating companies, are now closed. The U.K. CandEs are currently in the second round, where candidates are being surveyed about their experiences.

Monster, and the program's other sponsors, will join the Talent Board to honor all North American CandE winners during a special reception at the 2012 HR Technology Conference in Chicago, and U.K.-based winners at a special CandEs event.
