Following His Interview With Dr. Phil, Boyfriend of Missing Houston Woman Admits to Police That He Killed Her

HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - After a frantic search for a missing mother of two, her ex-boyfriend Mark Castellano confessed to the death of Michelle Warner following his one-on-one interview with Dr. Phil. The Houston man was being questioned by Dr. Phil regarding the disappearance of Warner who had not been seen since September 22, 2012. Dr. Phil's exclusive interview with Castellano will air Thursday, October 4, 2012 (check local listings).

Castellano claimed that Warner left their home that evening because they had gotten into a physical altercation which she initiated. While talking with Dr. Phil, Castellano at times referred to her in the past-tense and even showed Dr. Phil her car, which is the very place he now claims to have kept her body for two days.

Less than 48 hours after his sit-down with Dr. Phil, during which Castellano evaded questions and demonstrated suspicious behavior, he admitted to police that during the argument he choked Warner to death. According to Castellano, the couple's three-year-old son was home at the time, but did not witness the killing. After traveling with their son to his parents' home in Odessa, Texas, Castellano says he buried Warner in a shallow grave near a West Texas oil field. Shortly after the confession on Sunday, Castellano sent a text message to DR. PHIL producers and later called to inform them he had indeed killed Warner.

Also appearing on the show will be Warner's mother, brother and sister-in-law who had originally flown to Los Angeles in hopes of getting the word out about finding their missing family member. Instead they find themselves listening to Castellano's confession.

In speaking with Warner's family Dr. Phil said, "I did not like what I was hearing. He claimed she beat him regularly, and that nine out of 10 times he did not retaliate. To me, that says he was making an excuse for his guilt."
