Expansion Gives Company Footprint in 7 Deregulated States


HOUSTON, Oct. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scott Fordham, president and chief executive officer, today announced that Champion Energy Services, LLC (www.championenergyservices.com) received approval to become a supplier of electricity in New York and plans to begin serving electric customers during the second quarter of 2013.

Champion Energy Services filed on September 4, 2012 to serve residential and nonresidential electric customers in the service territories of Consolidated Edison, Central Hudson, National Grid, Orange and Rockland, Rochester Gas & Electric, Long Island Power Authority and New York State Electric and Gas. The New York Department of Public Service recently approved Champion Energy's application to become an Energy Services Company (ESCO).
