Media Advisory: How to Revitalize Ontario's Manufacturing Sector

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 12, 2012) - At this dynamic one-day symposium, leaders from finance, policy, economics, labour and technology will assess the state of Ontario's manufacturing sector and provide fresh insight into the underlying issues, forces and policies. In addition, presenters will discuss strategies to help rejuvenate the sector. Speakers include Ian Howcroft, vice president, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Ontario; Eoin O'Connor, corporate finance manager, Deloitte & Touche; Matthias Oschinski, lead economist, Mowat Centre for Policy Innovation; and Peter Warrian, senior research fellow, Munk School of Global Affairs.

The symposium is presented by the West Toronto Chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario, with co-sponsorship from the Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy, the University of Toronto's Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Toronto Chapter.
