As of today, Monday 15 October 2012, Cemat Silicon S.A. has completed a name change to „Topsil Semiconductor Materials S.A”. This implies that from now on, customers will be faced by Topsil on all communication platforms, when contacting the Warsaw based subsidiary at the office address, on the phone or online.
The formal part of the name change was completed end of September. Now follows signage, voicemail and one integrated home page.
”The change of name to Topsil Semiconductor Materials S.A. is part of our new strategy” explains Topsil CEO, Kalle Hvidt Nielsen. “We have been preparing for the last couple of months, by informing customers and suppliers as well as implementing the practicalities.“
He continues “We will expand our market position over the next years. It will strengthen Topsil’s profile to go to market using one company name. Customers will gain from it, as they will experience a simplified order handling, from inquiry through final product, and they will meet one company, no matter which location they turn to. The name change, furthermore, supports our efforts to enhance efficiency in all parts of our supply chain”.

Topsil manufactures ultrapure silicon to the global semiconductor industry. The silicon forms part of various energy efficient components in e.g. the wind turbines, bullet trains and the grid.
