NASDAQ OMX Fixed Income is now offering “Cancel On Disconnect” for Genium INET users. When “Cancel On Disconnect” is activated the trader’s orders will immediately be inactivated when the user loses connection to the market. In addition to this the user will be disconnected and the orders will be inactivated if the application doesn’t respond to heartbeats. The heartbeat intervals are set differently depending on protocol: · FIX – The heartbeat interval is set by the user on login · OMnet API – The heartbeat interval is set to 30 minutes before the user is disconnected. Note that the OMnet API application doesn’t need to actively send heartbeat transactions, the OMnet API does this automatically as long as the application continuously polls the broadcast buffer. Please contact Member Services if you are interested in this service. This service will be enabled for all users if the member wants this service activated. However be assured that only the user(s) losing connection will have their orders cancelled.
