Bluefire Mining Appoints Officer


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 25, 2012) - Bluefire Mining Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BFM) ("Bluefire" or, the "Company"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Buss as the Vice President, Corporate Development of the Company. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Buss was a member of the investment banking team with BMO Capital Markets specializing in the metals, mining and natural resource sectors. In this role, he assisted both public and private companies assess and execute on various strategic alternatives including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, strategic investments as well as other forms of equity and debt capital raising. Mr. Buss holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

As the Vice President, Corporate Development of Bluefire, Mr. Buss will lead the ongoing business development efforts of the Company with the goal of seeking attractive opportunities in growing the Company and enhancing shareholder value.

In addition, Bluefire's Board of Directors has approved the issuance of options to purchase 465,000 common shares of the Company (the "Options"). The Options will have a five (5) year term and will be issued after market close on October 24, 2012, with an exercise price based on the purchase price of the common shares in Bluefire's recently completed initial public offering. The stock options are being granted pursuant to Bluefire's stock option plan.
