The Kingston Health Coalition is holding a media conference on the threat to Kingston of rebuilding Providence Continuing Care's St. Mary's Hospital and psychiatric facility as a public-private-partnership (P3).
Presenting Information on what Kingston can expect from a privatized P3 scheme:
The Kingston project could waste 100 million health care dollars and reduce service. The government has refused to release any of the background documents justifying the decision to use the P3 approach.
The media conference will be followed at 5:30 by a Town Hall meeting in the Kingston-Frontenac Public Library, 130 Johnson Street, Delahey Room.
