P&WC Signs Engine Service Agreement With Bombardier for Learjet(i)60(i) Series Aircraft

ORLANDO, FLORIDA--(Marketwire - Oct. 30, 2012) - NBAA - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has signed a four-year Engine Service Agreement with Bombardier Aerospace to provide the highest level of OEM support to Learjet*60* business jet operators. The announcement was made today by Raffaele Virgili, vice-president, customer service, P&WC, during the National Business Aviation Association's 65th annual meeting and convention in Orlando, Florida. P&WC is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).

"We believe this is great news for Learjet aircraft owners," said Virgili. "As part of the overall aircraft maintenance program, Bombardier will be able to offer OEM service levels for repair, hot section inspection (HSI) and overhaul services for the PW305A engines that power Learjet 60 Series aircraft.

"Under this agreement, Bombardier will collaborate with Pratt & Whitney Canada to offer 'best in class' engine support at our service centres around the world," said Stan Younger, vice-president, Bombardier Aircraft Service Centres. "This will enhance our capability to offer a nose-to-tail support experience."

The PW305 is a member of the P&WC PW300 family of turbofan engines, which has been manufactured in nine different models, with thrust varying from 4700 to 7000 pounds; by year end this family of engines will have recorded 11 million hours of flight, with 3,800 engines delivered to operators.
